Richard Bergmann

Richard Bergmann is a solicitor in England and Wales with 10 years of post-qualification experience and more than 20 years of total legal experience in the UK and internationally. He studied Law and Politics at the University of Hagen and Law at BPP University in London and Cambridge. Over the course of his career, he has advised individuals, entrepreneurs, and businesses on a broad range of legal matters, with particular focus on immigration, business, and complex cross-border issues affecting Eastern European clients living and working in the United Kingdom.

Being Lithuanian/German bilingual from birth, Richard is a member of the Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce in the UK and maintains strong professional and community links with the Lithuanian community across the UK. He actively participates in community events, business forums, and cultural initiatives, providing practical legal guidance to Lithuanian businesses and private clients on various aspects of English business and immigration law.

Richard regularly advises clients on UK immigration routes, including Skilled Worker visas, Innovator Founder visas, Spouse and Partner visas, Student visas, Global Talent visas, and applications for Indefinite Leave to Remain and British citizenship. Fluent in six languages, Richard represents clients from a wide range of international communities and cultural backgrounds. One of Richard’s key areas of specialisation is deportation-related work for Eastern European clients. He assists clients in preventing deportation from the UK, challenging removal decisions, and seeking the revocation of deportation orders for individuals who have already been deported. For Immigration Tribunal work, Richard instructs only the best barristers in England who specialise in deportation. Through careful preparation, strategic case management, and strong advocacy, he has achieved a high rate of success in challenging deportation decisions and helping clients secure the opportunity to remain in or return to the United Kingdom.

• Successfully assisting a person from the Balkans, who had previously been the most wanted criminal in his country of origin for a significant period of time, to regularise his stay in the UK on Human Rights grounds

Before moving to the UK, Richard worked for several German law firms as a legal assistant. He handled a wide range of cases, including German social security matters, German and Austrian immigration law, and German property law. Richard obtained his degree in Law and Politics from the largest university in Germany, and his multilingual skills enabled him to support an international client base. Before beginning his career in immigration law, Richard worked as a locum consultant for several international commercial law firms, assisting with multi-jurisdictional cases.
